Patriot Plaza, a 24,000-square-foot Class A office facility in Cookeville, Tenn., stands as a testament to J&S Construction’s design-build expertise. Fully envisioned and executed by the company’s in-house design team, the project seamlessly integrates high-performance building systems, sustainable materials, and advanced construction methodologies—underscoring J&S Construction’s enduring commitment to quality, innovation, and environmental stewardship.
Now serving as the company’s new administrative headquarters, the facility is located just down the road from its previous location. The second floor of Patriot Plaza houses expanded workspaces, three state-of-the-art conference rooms, and a modern training center—available to the public at no cost. Sleek, glass-enclosed offices encourage transparency, collaboration, and open communication throughout the workplace.
Each conference room is equipped with ViewSonic interactive displays offering touchscreen functionality, built-in PCs, video conferencing capabilities, and wireless streaming—designed to support seamless team connectivity and client engagement.
The first floor, totaling 12,000 square feet, is currently being prepared for future tenants. A custom-designed cascading water feature greets visitors at the building’s main entrance, setting the tone for an environment that blends aesthetic appeal with functional performance.
Locally sourced Tulip Poplar siding from Winell Lee—kiln-dried to preserve its natural tone without stain—adds a regional touch to the building’s interiors, reflecting J&S Construction’s dedication to sustainability and supporting local suppliers.
The exterior is equally thoughtful in design, featuring Unilock ECO-PRIORA™ permeable pavers, engineered to withstand heavy traffic while significantly reducing stormwater runoff. These low-maintenance, replaceable pavers reflect commitment to both durability and environmental responsibility
Built for performance and sustainability, Patriot Plaza incorporates numerous high-performance systems and materials designed to enhance comfort, maximize energy efficiency, and deliver long-term value. The facility includes radiant floor heating and cooling for consistent, year-round climate control, along with Trulite low-emissivity insulating glass to minimize heat transfer and solar gain. Interior finishes include polished concrete floors in common areas and carpet tiles in offices to support acoustic performance.
The exterior is clad in durable Dri-Design weathered steel metal panels, while LED lighting throughout the building ensures energy-efficient illumination. Additional systems include a geothermal setup for secondary heating, a water source heat pump system, and spray foam insulation in both the roof and walls—together creating a modern workspace built to last.
