An 1800’s Cottage in the 21^st century? What would your dream house look like? For Ronnie and Lisa Smith of Brush Creek an 1800’s cottage was there dream. J&S made the dream come true. J&S remodeled the existing house with all the modern amenities, into a beautiful 1800’s cottage look.

Ronnie and Lisa approached J&S about remodeling there existing residence. The Smith’s wanted to add a study, enlarge the kitchen to incorporate an inviting and warm breakfast area, and to implement a new environment in the living room. The master bedroom was enlarged and the existing bath was redesigned to include a Victorian tub, separate shower, as well as a new vanity and water closet. The plan for the exterior was to remove all existing lap siding and replace it with vinyl. In addition porch rails, spindles and columns were constructed with architectural vinyl elements and trim. This resulted in a beautiful low maintenance exterior that is both graceful and has a touch of elegant sophistication. The exterior also featured an additional 888 square feet of covered porch space.

The 14 week project was supervised by Lisa Jorge of J&S Construction. The Smith Remodel came in on time and within the budget restraints that Ronnie and Lisa set.  The Smith’ said that all their expectation from design, quality of construction, to the final cost of the project more than exceeded their needs and desires.
